About this policy
ExpansionTales publishes adult transformation comics and browser visual novels. This policy covers information handled when you browse, read, play, log in with Patreon, or use community features.
Information you submit
We may receive your display name, email address, support messages, comments, likes, and ratings. Do not put sensitive personal information in public fields.
Patreon login
With the permissions you approve, Patreon may share your user ID, display name, email address, campaign membership, tier or benefits, and membership status. That status may include whether a membership is active, paid, gifted, cancelled, declined, or expired. We use this information to sign you in and check access to protected content and features.
Payments
Patreon and its payment providers process payments. ExpansionTales does not directly collect or store full payment-card numbers. Billing, cancellations, disputes, and refund requests are handled through Patreon unless stated otherwise.
Data stored in your browser
The site and game may store saves, choices, reading progress, settings, version preferences, download status, and cached files on your device. They use browser storage, IndexedDB, cookies, cache, and similar technologies. This data usually stays in the browser and device where it was created.
Clearing site data can delete saves, preferences, and cached files. The game’s asset-cache control is intended to remove downloaded files without deleting saves; clearing all site data through your browser can remove both.
Cookies and sessions
Cookies, server sessions, and local storage may support age confirmation, Patreon login, membership checks, security, preferences, game delivery, reading progress, and performance. Disabling or clearing them can sign you out, relock content, remove saved data, or require files to download again.
Technical records
The site and its providers may process your IP address, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps, response status, referrer, and access result. These records help deliver files, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and maintain security and performance.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled, they may collect visited pages, approximate device or browser details, referrers, and visit times. We use this information to understand usage and improve the site.
Comments and reactions
When community features are enabled, comments may appear publicly after submission or moderation. Limited account, session, or device information may be stored with reactions to prevent duplicates and keep statistics accurate.
How we use information
We use information to run and secure the site, deliver content, verify access, remember preferences and progress, provide community features, answer requests, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, improve performance, and meet legal obligations.
Sharing information
ExpansionTales does not sell personal information. Limited information may be shared with providers of hosting, content delivery, security, caching, analytics, backups, email, or Patreon verification. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect users, the service, or its rights.
Where and how long data is kept
Information may be processed in countries where ExpansionTales, Patreon, or other service providers operate. We keep it only as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, provide access, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or meet legal obligations. Local game data stays on your device until you, the game, or your browser remove it.
Your choices
You can disconnect the app through Patreon, clear browser site data, use the game’s cache control, or stop using the service. Where applicable, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. Contact ExpansionTales through the Patreon campaign linked on the Patreon access page.
Age and security
This service is for adults who are at least 18 and of legal age to view adult content where they live. It is not directed to children.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No website, browser storage, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Policy updates
